Big, oaky, delicious, and single-vineyard - this is an elevated form of what has become “Chile’s varietal.” Carmenere just does not get much better than Errazuriz Single Vineyard Carmenere (nor does any wine for the price). Mocha and spice and everything nice.
Tasting notes
The deep purplish-red color hints at the aromas andflavors to come – intense notes of violet, sweet spices and red fruit are touched by hints of nutmeg and red pepper. Medium-firm tannins and balanced acidity lead to a refreshing and smooth finish.

90 Points ~ International Wine Cellar "Deep ruby. Ripe cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by candied licorice and mocha. Supple and deep on entry, then livelier in the mid-palate, offering sweet blackberry and mulberry flavors sharpened by peppery spices. Supple tannins add shape to the long, smoky, nicely finish."
Technical notes
(90% Carmenere/10% Petit Verdot). Estate-grown fruit from in vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley near Don Maximiano was hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel tanks with pump overs twice per day. Following fermentation, the wine macerated for 10-26 days and then aged for eight months in French and American oak barrels after which it was blended, cold decanted and lightly filtered before bottling.
