COS Rami (Orange Wine) 2021 (750ml)

This is an orange wine.  It is a reference to the fact that this wine is fermented with skin contact and not a direct reference to the color.  The exact hue may vary from fairly pale to a deep amber.

Crushed green apples, gingery spice, chamomile and dusty dried flowers create a unique yet captivating display as the golden-hued Ramì blossoms in the glass. This is deeply textural with a balanced inner sweetness to match, as ripe orchard fruits and honeyed inner florals flesh out across the palate.

 

50% Insolia, 50% Grecanico (Grecanico also known as Grecanico Dorato, has been shown by DNA analysis to be identical to the Garganega of Soave)

Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks on the skins with indigenous yeast. Seven to ten days of sking contact. Aged in concrete vats for eight months followed by three months in the bottle before release.
