The intense pink color is characteristic of a great Tavel. Aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, and pomegranate share the glass with peppery notes. The wine is balanced and flavorful, and the finish is long. It is a gastronomic rosé that pairs with every part of the meal from aperitif through dessert.

Pair with barbecue, red meat, dessert, or fruit.

Chateau d'Aqueria Description

50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Clairette, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault, 5% Bourboulenc

Founded in 1595, Château d’Aqueria has 163 acres of vineyards with sandy-clay soil that surround the estate in Tavel. Grapes are hand-harvested then destemmed and chilled. Varieties are blended two by two and undergo a 12-to-24-hour maceration. Once the vibrant color is obtained, the tanks are bled and the marcs are pressed to add to the free-run juice. The juice then undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation for 15 days. This wine sees no malolactic fermentation and no oak contact. The final blend takes place in December before bottling. This results in a flavorful, vibrant, and food-friendly rosé that can be enjoyed year-round and cellared for several years.

Wine Advocate

Elegant and harmonious, the 2025 Tavel from Château d'Aqueria has turned out very well, evoking aromas of red berries, strawberries, raspberries and cherries mingled with floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, elegant and juicy, it's seamless and vibrant, with racy acids in the mid-palate and concluding with a long, perfumed and ethereal finish. Anticipated Maturity: 2026-2035
