A honeyed, golden color introduces the wine on the nose that gives way to some distinctly southern French aromatics (garrigue, spearmint, rosemary +thyme) before a palate that carries medium body with brightening acidity. Solidly balanced and eminently drinkable, a white blend that can certainly stand up to some heftier dinner fare.
The Bouchets cultivate vines on 5-hectares in Cairanne, oriented on the northwestern slope of the Col du Débat.
A natural drainage of the vines occurs thanks to the direct exposure to the Mistral wind. The plots are located between 200 and 280 meters above sea level, on mainly clay-limestone soils.
60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette Blanche, and 20% Bourbonlenc hand picked, direct pressed and co-fermented. Aged in 300-500 barrels, a stoneware jar and a stoneware egg for 12 months on malo lees.
