The Le Medoc De Cos appears a garnet red color in the glass. On the nose berry scents, morello cherry, smoky nuances. On the palate is refined, beautiful complexity, between suppleness, vigor and freshness, soft tannins. Complex and refined, it displays aromas of red berries, smoky notes in a supple, vigorous structure, with tannins remarkably melted.
Le Médoc de Cos will be the ideal companion of a meat, and will highlight a Côte de Boeuf, a baron of lamb but also a risotto with cepes or a platter of cheeses, Saint Nectaire, Brie...
This wine is the Médoc de Cos… d’Estournel! It’s primarily Cabernet Sauvignon which ensures a beautiful structure, and a bit of Merlot that provides morello cherry nuances. The wine has an elegant freshness, with the tannins softened by 14 months of aging in oak barrels. This wine has everything of a “Grand” of the Médoc because it’s produced by a Saint-Estèphe star, Château Cos d’Estournel! Coming from a beautiful terroir of deep gravel near the Gironde estuary, Médoc de Cos is vinified by the same team and in the same cellar as the famous Cru Classé, a spectacular building redesigned in 2008 by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. This is the opportunity to afford the fruit of the best Médoc know-how at a reasonable price.
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot sourced from the Goulee Vineyard in the uppermost Northern Medoc. Matures for 14 months in used French oak barrels.
