The Domaine Roche Cairanne appers a ruby red color with dark purple glints in the glass. Aromas of black fruits, wild strawberries, and spices lead to a round and fruity attack on the palate which is highly elegant and well balanced.
Pair with Irish lamb stew, slow braised beef cheek, or wild boar ribs.
In the early seventeenth century, Mr. Biscarat carefully selected the best plots and gradually planted 12 hectares of vines. Over the years, successive generations of winemakers perpetuate the family know-how. In 1929, Victorin Roche, decided to create the wine cooperative of Cairanne with a group of winemakers. In 1963, Marcel Roche gradually increased the vineyard surface area by investing in 30 extra hectares and he focused on the plots of the Cairanne AOC. In 2009, Romain Roche took over the operation and created Domaine Roche. Working on the land has always been done in the respect of the environment, Romain is in the first year of organic conversion.
