The Domaine Sautereau Sancerre appears a pale gold color in the glass. The wine has an intense aromatic and fresh nose. Delicate aromas of citrus such as grapefruit and exotic fruits such as mango. On the palate, at first sensation of volume followed by a beautiful and fine minerality. Straight and persistent finish with a note of freshness and tonicity.
Lovely in aperitif and delicious with white fish, seafood and goat cheese.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. Aging on lees in stainless steel to get a rounder wine. The wine is bottled almost 6 months after the harvest.
The vineyard is sit on four types of soil: pebbles, which make for fine, fruity, aromatic and elegant wines; white stone, which gives powerful aromas, freshness, minerality, and lingering mouthfeel, Kimmeridgian Marnes, which creates volume, roundness, and complex aromas; and red stone, which makes fruity and elegant wines.
