A bright ruby red color with purple hues, the 2021 vintage is shaping up to be one of the most exquisite editions of Gran Malbec. On the nose, it unfolds with an aromatic depth that highlights an exceptional quality of red fruit, with notes of cherries and blackcurrants, accompanied by subtle menthol, tobacco, pencil shavings, cedar and ash nuances. On the palate, this wine is balanced and vibrant, with an outstanding freshness. It has a good body, velvety texture with fine, juicy tannins. The finish is long lasting, leaving a spicy and fruity aftertaste that lingers.
This wine is perfect with grilled meats, meat dishes with sauce and assorted cheeses.
Produced from 100% malbec grapes, it is aged for 18 months: 30% in new barrels, 30% in second-fill barrels and 40% in vats.
Bodega Flechas De Los Andes is a result of the partnership between Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Mr. Laurent Dassault on a unique terroir situated at the foot of the Andes cordillera, to the south of Mendoza. The Malbec grape variety reigns in this alluvial terroir of the Andes. The finest plots of the Flechas de Los Andes vineyards have been selected to offer you a wine that is the expression of a pure, top of the range Argentinean Malbec.
The 2021 Gran Malbec hails from Campo Los Andes and was aged for up to 18 months in new and used French oak barrels, foudres and stainless steel tanks. It offers precise fruit aromas of plum, vanilla and cedar, complemented by hints of toffee and jarilla. The ripe dark fruit and creamy texture, along with polished tannins, deliver a delicate mouthfeel and a savory finish. This is a well-calibrated Malbec with a Bordelais nod.
A 2021 with substance and freshness. Blackberry and sandalwood aromas. Medium-bodied and beautifully curated and polished. So drinkable now with just the right amount of tannins. Drink or hold.
