Ethereal, pressed rose, red berry, wild herb and a whiff of new leather lead the way. Taste: Austere, flavorful, with a taut, vibrant palate. Notes of pomegranate, cranberry, white pepper and star anise overlay the distinctive Barolo dried-cherry, all of this is set against a firm backbone of racy acidity and assertive, tightly-knit tannins.
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with automatic pump-over systems for a period of 25-30 days. The wine is refined for at least three years in large-capacity (5,000 liters) Slavonian oak barrels.

This wine shows an especially minty character. The Francesco Rinaldi & Figli 2020 Barolo Cannubi has a bright profile of dark and purple fruits with a sweet finish. But those minty and spicy aromas make the difference. The alcohol content is just a hair below the other wines in this portfolio at 14.5%. This is a production of 9,000 bottles. 2025-2039
This is aromatic, with fresh cherries, red plums, dried flowers, grapefruit peel and hints of spiced blood oranges. Medium-bodied, refined and nicely formed on the palate, with a broad tannin structure and impressive length. Tense and persistent. Better from 2028.
