A clear robe. Dry yet fruity with floral notes, this wine is characterized by its high minerality, in particular inimitable flintiness, offering a complex palette that reveals all of the white earth limestone terroir.
Enjoy with salmon tartare, red tuna carpaccio, barbecued grilled sardines or pilchards, seafood fondue or with lemon based desserts as lemon crumble or lemon tart with meringue crust.
Les Tribordais de Loire is a brand created by François-Xavier Barc for his selection of wines sourced from magnificent appellations of Loire Valley from Saumur Champigny to Sancerre. A winemaker with an abundance of experience, he produces wines with distinguished style under his main brand Complices de Loire since 2010.
Les Tribordais de Loire are adventurers who know all the perfect parts of Loire Valley from which they choose to produce their wines. The grapes come from several tiny wineries and are produced in the middle Loire in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. With sustainable and partly organic agriculture partners, the winery is governed by strong environmental principles.
This producer seems to go into very perfumed Sauvignon Blanc. That's the case here. Like many Pouilly Fumé wines, this needs to age, its youthful fruit and acidity will soften. Drink from 2025. -R.V.
