A structured, fresh and complex wine with marked aromas of fresh citrus, white peach, a hint of white flower, and a sea-swept, saline minerality. Each sip also contains a touch of Mediterranean herbal flair-meets savory Spanish toast bread. The small, nicely-integrated bubbles and saline qualities are in perfect harmony.

Raventos i Blanc Description

Biodynamic viticulture. Vineyards with spontaneous plant cover, which fosters biodiversity, fertility and life in the soil. We apply manure that comes from our animals and is composted during the winter. We adopt the gobelet short pruning system. Plant infusions are used as phytotherapy to minimise the use of copper and sulphur. The European grapevine moth (Lobesia botrana) is controlled by sexual confusion. Control of berries and ripening before the harvest. Manual harvest.

Gravity-led grape reception system at the winery. At each stage, the atmosphere is controlled with dry ice. Slow, lowpressure pressing. Static settling at low temperatures. First fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, separating varieties and soil types, blending, second fermentation in the bottle and minimum ageing of 18 months with the lees in the bottles. Add the base wine expedition liqueur with Eco sugars. The disgorging date is indicated on the back label.

The 2023 Blanc de Blancs has a textbook nose of Mediterranean sparkling with notes of aromatic herbs, dry hay and straw, reflecting the third year of extremely dry conditions in the zone that delivered a small crop that was harvested earlier than ever and resulted in more concentrated wines. It's 50% Xarel.lo, 35% Macabeu, 10% Parellada and 5% Malvasía de Sitges that didn't go through malolactic and refermented and matured in bottle with lees for 18 months. They have access to great grapes (all organic) to produce this wine. It has a vibrant palate with abundant small bubbles and a spark of freshness and is balanced, clean and easy to drink. 200,000 bottles produced. All the bottles have the disgorgement date as a lot number.
