The Cabernet Sauvignon shows a full-bodied style with rich mulberry, plum and blackcurrant flavours supported by soft tannins. The wine is deep red in colour with clear star bright clarity, smooth with good weight made in a friendly new Cape style with no hard edges. This wine does not come across as bone dry but rather a fruity softness medium dry.

Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was sourced from 22 specially selected grape growing families in the Robertson Wine Valley. Vines are grown in lime rich red Karoo soils and in well weathered shade soils. Berry size and fruit complexity is manages by controlled irrigation. Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is harvested in the early morning from the last week of February until end of March.

Grapes were harvested at full ripeness from a selection of vineyards. Fermentation took place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks or 4 days. The wine was matured on French Oak for 4 months to add weight and complexity.

This is a Cabernet Sauvignon that could pair well with pasta. It's fruity, with light notes of grass on the nose. Blackberries and raspberries meet herbaceous flavors on the soft palate along with gentle acidity. Drink now. Best Buy -J.V.
