Combines floral aromas with clear minerality: white flowers, citrus fruit, a hint of herbs and stone. The power of the altitude is evident on the palate – cool, tense, with an acidity that carries the wine and gives it length.
Sancaba Bianco comes from the Grechetto Vineyard planted in 2018-2019, on Galestro (flaky calcareous clay) and sandstone soils at 650m of altitude. The hand-picked harvest took place on 7-11 September. The grapes were gently pressed and only the first run juice used. Vinification occured in steel vats at controlled temperature of 12°C with indigenous yeasts for about two weeks. The élevage took place in a 20HL cement tank for 6 months, with frequent stirring of the lees, while a small part was raised in a 2.25HL oak barrique. The blended wine was then clarified and filtered before the final bottling.
