The 10 Year Old Madeira Wine Malmsey has a topaz/brown color with reflections. Exotic aromas of wood, caramel and toasted almonds. Notes of tobacco and nuts. Strong aroma notes of chocolate, caramel and toasted almonds, some notes of vanilla, orange and nuts.
It should be stored upright and after opening, the wine will remain in good condition for several months. In gastronomy, this Malvasia can be enjoyed on its own or as an excellent digestive. It should be served at a temperature between 15ºC and 16ºC.
This blended wine with an average age of 10 years is made with the Malvasia variety, harvested from the São Jorge area, from volcanic and basaltic soil, with a clayey, acidic texture and rich in organic matter. A mild subtropical climate, hot summers and temperate winters. Great proximity between the vineyards and the sea, which gives the wines a perfect acidity.
Destemmed and pressed grapes under strict temperature control (24ºC to 26ºC) in stainless steel for approximately 5 days. Fortification with the addition of neutral alcohol, of wine origin, at 96% vol.
Aged in French and American oak casks, in the traditional "canteiro" process until bottling.
