Lot 50 is made from grapes harvested in the southeastern Veneto from cordon-trained vines planted in alluvial soils. After a soft press, the must is cooled and then fermented in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation occurs using the Charmat method.

Sparkling wine consumption in the US continues to grow rapidly. At the head of that growth curve is Prosecco, a sparkling white wine from northeastern Italy (specifically the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine regions). Prosecco is also the informal name for the grape variety used to make these wines, which is now known as Glera.
