P is for Pinot Grigio, the region's most popular white grape variety. This Pinot Grigio has captured the purity of the fruity and the breast crust character that are typical of this variety. The result is a wine with dry, savory and zesty fruit that is both pleasurable and drinkable.

The Alpha Zeta wines encompass the range of grapes and flavors found in the province of Verona in north-east Italy. They are resolutely modern, yet rooted in the area's ancient traditions. First produced in 1999, the wines are still made by New Zealand winemaker Matt Thomson from grapes grown in the hillside vineyards around Verona.

The grapes were hand harvested and gently pressed in a pneumatic press, before being immediately cooled to preserve the fresh fruit aromas. Fermentation took place in 1200-hectolitre stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C, avoiding any skin contact. The wine was then aged in 1200-hectolitre stainless steel tanks before bottling.
