The Tagaris family has been making wine since the 1300s, starting in Greece, before immigrating to the United States at the turn of the 20th century. Owner Michael Taggares took over for his grandfather and today they farm over 2000 acres in the Columbia River Gorge of Washington state. They make Bordeaux-style wines taking advantage of the high elevation and south-facing hills where their vines are planted.
