Château ARBO 2020, is a wine of purple color, dense purple. On the nose, a fine and subtle bouquet revealing notes of blackberries, cherries and peppermint. On the palate, the wine has body and is well supported by the freshness of its structure. The tannins are fine and well integrated; ending with a juicy and fruity finish.
In the usual style of Château ARBO style, this 2020 vintage is more intense, more structured too. A balanced, fine wine that can be enjoyed in its youth by decanting before your meal.
88% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc aged for 12 months in barrel (50% new barrels - 50% barrels of one wine)
2020, with spring rains that maintained, throughout the hot summer, a water reserve that amply watered the best clay and limestone terroirs, 2020 is a vintage that sticks to its soil. A little rain in August allowed the grapes to catch their breath and swell. This September harvest, with its cool nights and very hot days, sets the tone for the year. A very early harvest, on 18 September 2020!
This wine was aged in our French oak barrels for 12 months. Two barrel sizes are available: 225-liter and 500-liter! It's this goldsmith's work that year after year is refined and perfected to find the right balance and elegance in the wood. A wine that is ever more accomplished, with a certain elegance that emanates from the wood that makes up our barrels.
