This particularly fresh harvest enabled Malbec to stand out from the other grape varieties, as can be seen in the final blend. Clos de los Siete 2021 has a deep, glittering ruby color and a fresh aroma profile, with notes of blackberry, red fruit and wild herbs. On the palate, there is an elegant combination of body with medium concentration and seductive acidity, giving it freshness and liveliness, and promising excellent potential to age.
59% Malbec, 15% Merlot, 13% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot aged for 11 months – 70 % in oak barrels (1/3 new French oak barrels, 1/3 in one year old barrel, 1/3 two years old); 30% in vats.
A fresh and linear red with blackberries, blackcurrants, and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, very polished and refined on the palate with a lively finish. Linear at the end. This has more cabernet franc than normal. Malbec, merlot, syrah, cabernet franc, petit Verdot, and cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.
