A beautifully defined and textured Pinot Noir with black cherries and hints of cassis intermixed with wild strawberry. Silky and elegant, this shows how lacy Monthelie can be when in the hands of a master.

100% Pinot Noir sourced from 50+ year-old vines fermented and aged in barrel, 25% new.

A perfumed and even spicier nose reflects ample floral influences such as violet and lilac on the mix of red and dark currant. There is a bit more volume to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a bit more volume while retaining the same lilting mouthfeel on the youthfully austere and lingering finale that isn't quite as complex. This is however a bit more structured and it may well surpass the Santenots in time. Recommended as well. Drink: 2032+
