A wine of great complexity yet extreme elegance, Coteau de Vernon offers one of the finest expressions of Viognier's subtlety. This Condrieu, unique among the Condrieu grapes, at the heart of the appellation and the estate, offers, depending on the vintage, aromas of yellow fruits, fresh or candied citrus, and exotic fruits, underscored by beautiful bitter notes. Its balance is always perfect, with plenty of freshness, vegetal and minty notes, white flowers, and a very nice acidity. Coteau de Vernon is a wine that is at once noble, taut, straightforward, precise, extremely delicate, and with perfectly controlled exuberance: the quintessence of Condrieu.
 

For the vintage, the 2015 Condrieu Coteaux du Vernon shows notable tension. It's tight, citrusy and gingery on the nose, then a bit lean on the palate, showing hints of bergamot and lime. Somehow, the finish manages to combine velvety richness and vibrant zestiness into a coherent, harmonious whole.
