Deep ruby-red in color, this wine is fruit forward with nuanced tannins. Concentrated aromas of blackcurrant, ripe cherry, cola, eucalyptus, mocha and tilled earth carry over into a balanced palate. Smooth midpalate tannins support the fruit through a pleasing finish.
The 2023 Geyser Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is a carefully crafted blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Petite Sirah, with 12% of the Cabernet sourced from the renowned Alexander Valley AVA, known for its rich, expressive fruit. Additionally, 4% of the Petite Sirah comes from the Red Hills in Lake County, contributing depth and structure to the final wine.
Geyser Peak Winery has a long and storied history. Founded in 1880, it became the 29th bonded winery in California. The brand has seen a storied past of over 140 years, founded by a local family, changing hands multiple times including management by corporate interests. Today, Geyser Peak has proudly returned to its roots as a family-owned-and-operated business, sourcing fruit from famed winegrowing regions of California.
