The color is a clear ruby. On the nose, it is an explosion of black fruits: blackcurrant, blackberry, jammy red fruits, followed by notes of leather and tobacco. On the palate, liquorice dominates, with a light woody note and notes of toast. Full-bodied and very fresh, this wine has silky, rounded tannins.
The Crozes-Hermitage Rouge Albéric comes from old vines of around 70 years old , from the main terroirs of the Domaine. This blend of beautiful Syrah brings femininity and spicy aromas. We also find a rustic side, on ripe fruits with very present tannins.
This Syrah blend will give, after a few years of aging, a rich and balanced vintage.
The harvest of the Albéric cuvée is done mechanically and manually. Extraction is done by pumping over and punching down to respect the grapes. Vinification lasts 20 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, then continues in barrels (30% of which are new barrels) for a period of between 12 and 14 months.
