The Giovanni Dri is a sweet wine obtained from 100% Picolit grapes whose vineyards are entirely located in Ramandolo. Its color is white with yellow-green reflections. Its nose is light and elegant, touched by the scent of wild flowers, vanilla and crushed almond. Its flavor is delicate and fruity, with a delicate balance between sweet and fresh, linded honey and candied ginger. It is a reflection wine.
The region of Friuli is home to over 30 varities of grapes yielding some of Italy's most distinctive wines. Some examples are the Refosco, Schioppettino and Pignolo, all of wich are of a strong and intriguing character.
The sweet wines Ramandolo and Picolit were the first to earn DOCG libels in Friuli. Ramandolo, the only wine in the Friuli which bears the name of territory of its origin, is a unique and unforgettable dessert wine. Picolit is at once precious and memorable, evoking the historically illustrious wines of Friuli.
