Made from grapes harvested on the sloping hillsides of Germany’s prime wine growing regions of the Rheinhessen. Grapes are harvested in the vineyard site of Binger St. Rochuskapelle in Rheinhessen. The winding rivers running alongside these vineyards reflect sunlight, which help to ripen the grapes throughout the long cool growing season. Produced in an off-dry style with exotic aromas and flavors of lychee, rose petal, passion fruit and ginger.
Gewürztraminer’s sweetness may offset the spice in Asian cuisine. It goes well with cheese, and fleshy, fatty (oily) wild game. Smoked salmon is a particularly good match.

This shows some sweetness, with lots of papaya and quince, it is tasty, but somewhat straightforward and moderately long. -A.Z.
