The wine features a bright orange color with a slightly cloudy appearance. The nose is spicy and forward, with a distinct grapefruit skin aroma, along with notes of peach and apricot. The palate is soft with a bit of tannin from the skins and a nice, animated, fresh finish. The liter bottles make a great value.

A terrific value skin contact wine made from organically grown Grüner Veltliner planted on soils of gravel, clay and chalk. This bottling spent three weeks on the skins in order to gently extract color and aroma. Just before bottling, some additional Grüner (white wine) was added for a more fruit forward profile.

Spontaneous fermentation, no filtration, and vegan friendly. Certified organic and 12.5% alcohol

Lustig, meaning fun or happy in German, is an excellent value Grüner Veltliner made by Josef and Pia Wurzinger at their winery in Tadten Seewinkel in Burgenland, near the Hungarian border. The Wurzinger estate is located just east of the famous Neusiedlersee lake and the climate is Pannonian, with cold winters and hot summers moderated by the steady breezes from the lake. .
