The Lyrarakis Voila Assyrtiko appears a bright platinum color in the glass. The nose is filled with aromas of citrus and white fleshed stonefruit with herbal and chalky notes. The mouthfeel is rich and crispy with a salty freshness and a slightly mineral aftertaste.
Enjoy with pork with celery, all kind of shellfish and fish.
Lyrarakis family uncovered East Crete's potential since the 1970s. Initially in the "Voila" plain and later in the surrounding areas, we have identified exceptional vineyards where the great grape variety Assyrtiko thrives.
The harvest was performed by hand seeking to obtain a proper fruit maturity. Skin contact was carried out at 12°C for 10 hours. Fermented in a stainless steel tank, this wine had a slow fermentation rate that lasted for 15 days.
