The Ribolla, from middle-aged vines, is light yellow, with gold accents; the bouquet is specifically soft (notes of lemon, green apple, citrus and grapefruit) and fruity. The harmony of acids, the elegant body and distinct minerality complete the taste to its excellence.

Try it as an aperitif in spring and summer. It can be served with lettuce, vegetables, asparagus, white meat, sea food, rice. We especially recommend it with sushi.

The wines that we denominate as Classic wines - Sauvignonasse, Ribolla, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay - are carefully produced, but are not among the demanding wines. They originate from our younger vineyards. After maturing in stainless steel barrels, the wines are sur lie on yeast up to 8 months. This makes them not so classically fresh, as they lose some of the basic variety aroma and gain a complex, rich and extraordinarily elegant body. Despite their dryness, they highlight freshness and minerality, which means they can be drunk on all kinds of occasions.

Ribolla is a Slovene autochthonous variety, which is said to be giving best results in Goriška Brda region. It grows best on Brda marl soil (opoka) under the influence of the mild Mediterranean climate and cold wind from the Julian Alps.

Aged for 6 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
