This Sauvignon Blanc has that classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc flavor you love, but with less of the calories you don’t. The nose is mouth-wateringly vibrant with grilled pineapple and passionfruit characters. The palate doesn’t skimp on flavor either, bursting with zesty citrus and natural acidity all wrapped up in great structure and a lengthy finish. Matua wine is now enjoyed here in New Zealand and around the world – but we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Bill and Ross Spence. Armed with lots of Kiwi ingenuity and determination, these brothers set out to revolutionise the New Zealand wine industry. Ultimately, when they produced New Zealand's first Sauvignon Blanc, they changed the way the world drinks Sauvignon Blanc. Aotearoa (said “Ow-taya-rowah”) is the name of New Zealand in Maori. It means Land of the Long White Cloud - it’s long and skinny, pretty and green… and has some amazing spots for growing grapes. From the north to the south, New Zealand’s wine growing regions all offer something special. The top island is sub-tropical and down the southern end it can get pretty chilly! We source our grapes from New Zealand’s most renowned wine regions – Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough and Central Otago.
