Occhipinti Description

This is a fresh wine, with vibrant red cherry fruit and crushed Mediterranean herbs on the nose. The palette is juicy, round with refreshing acidity and offers up cherries, violets, and a hint of chocolate.

50% Aleatico, 50% Grechetto Rosso. Hand harvested in early September, then fermented with native yeasts and aged 6 months in clay vessels, “amphorae” where oxygenation occurs fated and there is considerable loss of liquid.
