La Marchesana Nero di Troia appears a brilliant ruby-red color with deep highlights in the glass. Delicate notes of violet, black cherry and red cherry fill the nose followed by a full, long palate and with a velvety flavor.
100% Nero di Troia Mariotto vineyard aged for 9 months in stainless steel tanks and 4 months in bottle.
The side project from Polvanera’s Filippo Cassano with the desire to showcase all the indigenous grape varietals of Puglia. The choice to produce IGT rather than DOC wines allows for larger crops and greater immediacy in style, where the primary fruit essence of each grape imparts the foremost character to each wine. The same clean, precise and fresh style that has made Polvanera into one of the leaders in the new wave of Puglia wine are found in the La Marchesana wines as well.
