Yarden Chardonnay presents ripe lemon, melon, floral and pear aroma notes, intermingling with hints of apricot and French oak. Ready to enjoy now, the wine will continue to develop in the bottle and remain in excellent condition for five to seven years from vintage.
Yarden Chardonnay is made with fruit harvested from vineyards at elevations up to 3,900 feet in the northern Golan Heights, a cool area renowned for high-quality Chardonnay. Aged on the lees in French oak barrels for seven months.
The Galilee (or Galil) is the northernmost — and generally considered the best — appellation in Israel. The highest quality growing area within the appellation is the Golan Heights (or simply the Golan), also the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 1,300 feet to 3,900 feet above sea level and receive snowfall in the winter. Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin in the central Golan.
