Bright cherry red with a garnet rim. A refined nose with predominant notes of red and stone fruits: strawberry, raspberry and peach. Patisserie and cream encased in elegant notes of vanilla, caramel and a subtle hint of cinnamon. It is flavorful and expressive on the palate. It is immediately inviting, enveloping the palate and leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste.

93% Tempranillo, 2% Mazuelo, 5% Garnacha, selected from 10 to 20 year-old vines from our long-standing suppliers in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa subzones. Sloped plots of calcareous-clay soils with good drainage and sun exposure.

Our most famous wine, the one that best reflects our innovations in ageing, as we started to use hybrid oak barrels (with French oak bases and American oak staves) for LAN Crianza as long as two decades ago, contributing to its unmistakeable character.

A solid Rioja crianza that’s very well balanced. Red plums, cherries and sweet spices follow through to a medium-bodied palate with juicy red fruit and a touch of vanilla. Fluid, pretty long and well grained. Drink or hold.
