Beautiful intense garnet color with purplish reflections, brilliant and clear. The very expressive nose reveals with intensity all the complexity of the Bandol terroir. The notes of very ripe black fruits and liquorice combine with the iodized notes of Mourvèdre grown on limestone soil under the benevolent eye of the nearby Mediterranean. The palate is full and complex, expressing silky and velvety tannins present but without being aggressive. A lovely balanced wine which will undoubtedly demonstrate good cellar aging capacity.
A wine of beautiful expression to be enjoyed with a rib of beef cooked over embers of vine shoots. You will have to wait to appreciate them with olive stew, roast rabbit in black tapenade, farmhouse Saint-Nectaire or even a nice wild boar marinade.
80% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache aged for 18 months in oak.
