This wine is produced from a blend of many parcels located in the appellations of Gevrey-Chambertin and Fixin.
All wines undergo an 18-month aging process. Collaborating with esteemed cooperages such as Tonnellerie Raymond, Francois Freres, Seguin Moreau, and Rousseau, they use different oak each year to age each cuvée, adapting to the wine's typicity, with blending taking place post-fermentation.
Since 2014, they have abstained from fining or filtering their wines, highlighting the domaine's typicity, characterized by freshness. The winery cherishes old vines rooted in exceptional terroir.
Subtle if perceptible wood influence can be found on the more deeply pitched aromas of poached plum, humus and a smoked game hint. There is both more volume and richness to the delicious and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that are, once again, not particularly dense though they do manage to deliver solid depth and persistence on the youthfully austere and moderately firm finale.
