Pale lemon color. Citrus, tropical and flower blossom and flavors of citrus fruits, peach, and mango while emerging hints of white flowers.

From grapes grown on carefully selected field-blend parcels spread over areas of the island of Santorini. Both varieties are co-cultivated at an estimated percentage of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Athiri. All processes (harvest and winemaking) handle both grapes as a blend.

The vines are classified as old vines, over 50 years in age. The soil of Santorini is unique, the whole island is a super volcano and has been covered with volcanic material since the last eruption in 1620 B.C. Kavalieros is one of the best vineyard blocks located in the town Imerovigli on the island of Santorini, offering an exquisite Assyrtiko with exceptional characteristics.

A field blend of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Athiri, the 2023 Santorini Aα offers the structured tension of the first grape with the pretty floral aromas of the second. Athiri tends to be lower in acidity, but its presence gives a gentle lift and elegance to the bouquet. This vintage saw low yields and heat stress, but the results are even more concentrated and lovely as a result. The grapes are not destemmed before being pressed, and you perceive a hint of waxy richness on the close. Anticipated Maturity: 2024-2028
