The Estate Hatzimichalis Erythros opens with aromas of black fruits including plum, blackberry, blueberry as well as cedar, spices and vanilla. Black fruits are evident on the palate, sweet spices such as cloves and jamminess. Very balanced, high tannins, long finish and complexity that makes the wine unique.
Enjoy with grilled or cooked red meat, lamb, wild boar, duck, pasta with red meat, burgers, or a cured meat platter.
Erythros is a typical Bordeaux blend of the three French varieties (40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot).
Combined, these particular varieties result in balanced fruity wine with vegetal notes and a long aftertaste deriving from the ageing process.
Each variety is vinified separately with the technique of classic red vinification. It aged for at least 12 months in French oak barriques in our underground cellars.
