Medium intensity ruby red with slight garnet highlights. Clear, broad with fruity notes of plum and cherry, as well as vanilla and light floral notes of rose. Harmonious, full, and savory, with a persistent finish reminiscent of the cherry in the bouquet.
The grapes for this Barolo, harvested within the municipality of Monforte d’Alba, are pressed, destemmed and left to macerate for about 30 days in stainless steel tanks. The aging then takes place in Slavonian oak barrels (25 hl) for 2 years.
Barolo del Comune di Monforte is the first wine we recommend tasting to enter our production philosophy and understand the style of Fortemasso. A contemporary Barolo, fresh, fruity, versatile, which best interprets our idea of “denominazione comunale”.
