This wine is obtained from 100% Verduzzo Friulano grapes whose vineyards and entirely located in Ramandolo. Its color is gold yellow. Its perfume is vividly fruity, tangerine peel and dried apricot. Its flavor is sweet not sweet, lightly tannic, silky persistent. It blend perfectly with fermented and mature cheese, fruit, dry pastries, Easter and Christmas sweets; it is excellent by itself to sweeten every moment.
The region of Friuli is home to over 30 varities of grapes yielding some of Italy's most distinctive wines. Some examples are the Refosco, Schioppettino and Pignolo, all of wich are of a strong and intriguing character.
The sweet wines Ramandolo and Picolit were the first to earn DOCG libels in Friuli. Ramandolo, the only wine in the Friuli which bears the name of territory of its origin, is a unique and unforgettable dessert wine. Picolit is at once precious and memorable, evoking the historically illustrious wines of Friuli.
