La Cantera Reserva is a medium-bodied red with expressive raspberry, black fruit and toasty vanilla aromas. Well balanced and smooth, the palate offers layers of luscious red-berry flavor and a long, complex finish.

Exactly the type of serious flavor and value you can expect from modern Spain, La Cantera is the product of Javier’s prized Tempranillo vines. These 65+ year-old heirlooms produce tiny amounts of grapes with HUGE flavor—yet, the clusters are so small, they fit right in the palm of your hand. To bring a bit more structure, Javier added a portion of Cabernet to the blend as well. A 12-month slumber in oak (followed by another few years in bottle) means you can look forward to a seriously mellow, complex wine that’s made for hearty, slow-cooked dishes.
