Aromatic nose of mature fruits, red berries, and dry fruits combined with balsamic notes and mineral hints. The wine is medium-bodied, silky, and ripe, showing good fruit intensity on the palate and fine acidity. Finishing with freshness and length.
This wine is made with grapes harvested from the 20-year-old vines of the Vall del Bellmunt vineyard plots in the south of Priorat. These plots are mainly planted with Garnatxa (Grenache) and Carinyena (Carignan) grape varieties. It is classified as a “Vi de Vila” (“Village Wine”) which means it is a wine made by a winery located within the municipal boundaries of the village of Bellmunt del Priorat.
Aged for 10 months in 3,000L, 1,500L and 225 liter barrels. Bottle aged for an additional 12 months.
The 2021 Bellmunt Negre is a village wine that showcases the freshness of the Garnacha fruit, which represents 70% of the blend this vintage, complemented with Cariñena from vines planted between 1996 and 1998. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in concrete and used 3,000-liter oak vats for 10 months. It has a bright ruby color, and the nose is all sweet Garnacha fruit, red berries and a spicy and earthy twist. It's medium to full-bodied, with very fine and elegant tannins. It comes in at 14% alcohol and with 5.5 grams of acidity. 32,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023. Drink 2024-2031
