Wonderfully aromatic with sweet, bright acidity and pineapple and white peach flavors.
Ideal with fiery fare, especially Thai, Szechwan, Mexican, Middle Eastern, and Caribbean cuisine.
Our grapes are picked early (20-21 Brix), and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is stopped early at about 8% residual sugar to retain as much freshness and fruitiness as possible. Natural carbon dioxide in the wine creates a lively mouthfeel. No sugar added!
Truth in advertising here. The sweet shop opens with aromas of lemon drop hard candies, puffed rice and wet rocks filling the air. Then flavors of lemon zest, maraschino cherries and other fruit cocktail members deliver a nice sweet-tart punch. What keeps this from becoming a fruit slushie is the wine's zippy acidity.
