A beautiful bright yellow with transparency. On the nose, fruity and floral with notes of peach, apricot, orange zest, honey and a side of vanilla. Gourmet, you can find a nice balance between the acidity and roundness. Fruity attack and a finish of sweet spices and almond.
Rousset’s Crozes-Hermitage Blanc is 85% Marsanne and 15% Roussanne from many parcels between Gervans and Erôme with 45 years average age (2023) on soft/medium steep terraces with mostly south-west expositions at 140-180m on granite and loess bedrock with mostly loess topsoil.
Whole-cluster pressed and naturally fermented and aged in 50% steel and 50% old barrels. It passes through malolactic and is filtered with diatomaceous earth (a natural product) prior to bottling.
