This beautifully blended 2020 Rassi Cabernet Sauvignon is exquisitely balanced with excellent fruit concentration. On the nose, this wine offers candied blueberry lollipop, blackberry tart, dark cranberry compote, stewed Mission figs, and a touch of brioche. The palate offers plush but delicate tannins, bursting with fresh blueberries, black cherries, Agen prunes, toasted wanluts and cedar that lingers on the finish. this offering is enjoyable today but will also evolve with cellar aging through 2032.
Whitehall Lane Description
The Rassi Vineyard is located in a gravel stratum on the eastern slope of Sonoma Valley at the base of the Mayacamas Mountain range. This hillside location has excellent afternoon sun exposure throughout the long, warm summer and is ideally suited for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes from this meticulously farmed vineyard have been used in a countless acclaimed wines over the years.
After fermentation and pressing, the Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 30% new French oak for 20 months before bottling. the final blend is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
