The Chateau Rombeau Pierre de la Fabregue appears a deep garnet color with purple highlights in the glass. A complex, intense nose, with notes of jammy black berries, mocha and sweet spices lead to a full and smooth palate, a rich wine with velvety tannins combining freshness and maturity.
Enjoy with roast lamb with rosemary, rib of beef with morels, hare stew, game in sauce and platters of mature cheeses
65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre
The “Signature” wines are the fruit of family affection and a passion for the craft passed down from generation to generation. All produced in accordance with the rules of the Roussillon Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, these wines bear witness to meticulous work and quality.
Domaine de Rombeau has developed a model where every action, from vine to glass, from soil to plate, aims to strengthen the ecological coherence of its operations. Committed to organic farming on part of its estate since 2008, it addresses current challenges with innovative solutions.
A blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre, the 2017 Pierre de la Fabrègue shows a better sense of balance than the estate's Elise bottling, with the 30% new oak gracefully framing black cherries, raspberries and dried spices. It's medium to full-bodied, with supple, silky tannins and a long, elegant finish.
